One of the oldest schools in the country, Wisbech Grammar School was founded in 1379 by the Guild of the Holy Trinity. For more than six hundred years the School has played its part in the life of the town, and its presence was the vital factor in the granting in 1549 of a Charter for Wisbech.
At Wisbech Grammar School we are proud of our past but focus on the future. We believe that educational development is not simply confined to the classroom or laboratory, but can be found in the drama studio, sports fields and music rooms. We dare to go beyond the narrow confines of exam specifications, giving an all-round educational experience.

The School has a fantastically talented teaching staff who develop a strong rapport with pupils, better enabling them to negotiate their own individual learning pathway.

The facilities on our 34-acre site are excellent. Recent buildings include the Alan Salmon Hall (an assembly and performance space for our Preparatory School), an extension to our Sports Hall and the Dwight Centre for Performing Arts and English and our Refectory, Skelton Hall, opened in 2015.  Our newest facilities include state of the art netball courts and purpose-built performing art and dance studio where we have partnered with Studio 19, a vibrant dance and fitness company from King's Lynn. This fantastic new facility will provide the very best for our pupils and the wider community as Studio 19 have scheduled a full timetable of evening sessions to suit every taste.
